As an aspiring SL model and all-round inspiration to myself in my everyday life, it's important to get into the right frame of mind and practice the life of a model even if you are not actually a model.
You know: it takes a long time to look this....odd. I try to keep my skin as cosmetic free as possible, and anything I do has been tested extensively on Meeroos. And no that isnt a mirror, its a wax model of my face that I stuck on the mirror.
I always brush my hair in the same direction. Downwards. Except when I am trying to get my quiff to stay upright. It's complicated physics, but important to remember this. There are mnemonic devices to help if you get stuck.
After my rigorous beauty regimen, I spend a long time in front of the computer working through a series of real life "model" simulation programmes. These cover the basic stuff such as not smiling (it shows you pictures of kittens in flowerpots and detects facial movement. If you smile it sends a small electric shock into your fingers) through to complex things like walking in a straight line (harder to do on a computer, but you control a small version of yourself and try to walk in a straight line withour running towards things that shine or make funny noises)
One of the most complex parts of modelling is what we call "Point & Stand". You have to stand completely still, and point. One thing to remember is that you should either LOOK at the thing to which you are pointing....or NOT LOOK. There is no half-baked approach here. It's one or the other.
On other points - Hoorenbeek's most recent release is this Brooklyn Leather Jacket shown here in Burgundy. As ever it's a class number and well worth grabbing.
